Hugo Romeo Cedeño Cedeño is a highly accomplished structural engineer with extensive experience in the design, analysis, and management of complex infrastructure projects. Currently serving as a Software Project Manager.
Hugo holds multiple advanced degrees from Purdue University, including a Doctor of Philosophy (ABD) in Structural Engineering, and master’s degrees in Structural, Computational, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering, as well as Mathematics and Business Administration. His academic background is complemented by a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Escuela Superior Politecnica in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
Throughout his career, Hugo has contributed to the successful delivery of numerous high-profile projects, such as the North Split Indianapolis, I-465 Northwest, Lafayette Myers Bridge, and the Wabash Heritage Trail Bridge. His expertise spans bridge design, load rating, structural analysis, and the rehabilitation of critical infrastructure, with hands-on experience using industry-leading software including LEAP Bridge, AASHTOWare BrR, LARSA 4D, RISA 3D, and Midas Civil.
A dedicated researcher, Hugo has served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Purdue University’s Lyles School of Civil Engineering. He is a member of several professional organizations, including ASCE, ASME, ACI, PCI, Beta Gamma Sigma, PMI, and ASQ, and has been recognized for high scholastic achievement.
